another blog about almost everything

Hey there!
My Name is Teresa and yes, this is going to be another blog that covers topics like lifestyle, DIY, travel, food inspiration and some other stuff.
I'm interested in a lot of things. Just give me some time to get into a topic and my head generates a lot of ideas that I absolutely do not have time for. So I got the idea of sharing my interests with the internet and concentrating on less things but with a higher focus, so someone can possibly get inspired by me.

I am 25 years old and when I think about that number it scares me a little bit, because ist always seemed so old to me... Well that's life I guess. So instead of thinking about my age and how old I am, I enjoy as much time as possible. It's easy to make me happy, just give me some warm hours of sunshine, not that cold and wet winter-weather we have in Germany, and a piece of cake or a cinnamon roll. Hand me a nice book and leave me somewhere in a café. Coffee is always a good idea. Or am I wrong?
And if that seems to be too much, just let me lay down and scratch my head ;)

In my everyday life I work as a pediatric nurse at a university hospital and I really enjoy my job! Honestly. Of course there are a lot of things I do not like about my job, like shift-work and working on every second weekend, but I do really love to work with children of any age and that I have the possibility to be that close to someone. To be there, when friends and family are afraid, do not know what to say and sometimes even prefer to stay away.
But enough of that serious topic. Maybe there will be some posts linked to my work-life, but mainly this should be a blog to focus on my creative part.

When I was a child, my mom teached me a lot of different creative techniques. One of the first things were the window pictures we crafted associated with the seasons. This was one of the easier things and we enjoyed the colorful pictures that filled almost our entire home. Later I got interested in sewing, knitting and crochet. I wore a lot of self-made clothes when I was a child and when I became a teen I wanted to make them on my own. So my grandma handed me a lot of wool and needles and I started with some basic knitting things like wrist warmers. In my holidays I spent my time at my sewing machine, visited some courses and crafted some simple stuff like bags and pillows.
When I got older, I got interested in different things, like volleyball and reading, so the creative part drifted into the background. But since three years, when I finished school and my nursery studies, I grabbed my old stuff and found new interest. Today I own some clothes I made on my own and still want to do more. But with work, sports and daily life, I've got the feeling I do not have enough time, and money, to implement all the ideas I've got.

Another part of my blog is going to be food. I love to bake and this makes my boyfriend worry about his weight. I love cake and I am always searching for new recipes. When friends or family come around, I take this as a reason to bake even bigger or special cakes. So I am pretty sure you will find one or another of my favorite recipes here.

And finally, I also want to share photography work. I got a DSLR some years ago and it gathered dust the last few years, but maybe this is going to be the year to get it back out and make some more experience with it.

So you got it. You reached the end of my first post. I hope you are still interested and are now looking forward to take the first steps with me and to support me on my way.

See you on my next post,
Teresa
